Henry is proud to announce that the Midland Symphony Orchestra will perform his celebrated orchestral suite, Cosmic Cycles: A Space Symphony, on March 7, 2026, at the Midland Center for the Arts in Midland, Michigan with Bohuslav Rattay conducting the powerful cinematic score with NASA visuals.
Originally commissioned by Washington, DC conductor Piotr Gajewski in collaboration with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, Cosmic Cycles is a symphonic journey through the vastness of space, blending Dehlinger’s evocative musical language with stunning scientific visuals. The suite explores themes ranging from the birth of stars and planets to the dynamic forces shaping galaxies.
“I’m thrilled to bring Cosmic Cycles to new audiences with the Midland Symphony Orchestra,” said Dehlinger. “This piece is a celebration of discovery, and it’s deeply rewarding to see how it resonates with both music lovers and science enthusiasts.”
The performance promises to be a multimedia experience, featuring synchronized NASA imagery that brings each movement’s cosmic narrative to life. This immersive approach has earned the work critical praise for its innovation and emotional power.
