Just in time for the 2025 holiday season, Henry announces the publication of his celebrated Christmas works, now available for purchase and performance. These festive compositions—rich in lyricism, joy, and warmth—are quickly becoming favorites in seasonal concert programs.
The newly released scores include:
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day – A stirring setting of Longfellow’s iconic poem, blending traditional Christmas sentiment with contemporary harmonic color.
Hodie! – A vibrant, rhythmically charged piece with Latin text, ideal for mixed choir and a joyful concert opener.
Mistletoe – A whimsical and charming secular holiday song, performed a cappella, that captures the romantic sparkle of the season.
Ring Out, Ye Bells! – A jubilant anthem for chorus and organ with lyrics by African-American poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, celebrating the spirit of peace and renewal.
“These pieces were composed from a place of deep affection for the holiday season—its traditions, its poetry, and its sense of togetherness,” says Dehlinger. “I’m delighted to make them available to choirs and performers looking to refresh their Christmas repertoire with something new, yet timeless.”
All works are available through J.W. Pepper, and include full scores, parts, and performance notes. Suitable for both professional ensembles and advanced community or collegiate groups, Dehlinger’s holiday catalog brings a fresh voice to seasonal programming.
