Pianist Henry Dehlinger today announced the release of his debut album, Evocations of Spain, featuring selections from Isaac Albéniz’s Iberia and Suite española and Enrique Granados’s Goyescas and Danzas españolas.
The album is now available for shipping to over 2,500 retailers worldwide and for digital download on CD Baby, iTunes, Amazon and other digital music stores.
Spanish classical music aficionados familiar with the seminal recordings of legendary Spanish pianists Alicia de Larrocha and Esteban Sánchez may be intrigued with Dehlinger’s fresh interpretation of Albéniz and Granados.
One Amazon reviewer notes, “I am a great fan of Granados's piano music in particular, so I am happy to recommend this disc of music by Granados and Albeniz both to newcomers and to others who feel about it as passionately as I do. But other than superlative individual performances, this disc also offers something rare these days, namely, a programmatic presentation of the music that provides well thought out contrasts of mood and effect."
