As 2018 approaches, composer HENRY DEHLINGER is putting the finishing touches on The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. His latest work will be published before year's end with conductor's score, parts, and vocal score available sometime mid-December. A rhapsody for high voice and orchestra, it is Dehlinger's largest work yet.

Dehlinger published a number of other original compositions in 2017: A Dream, set to a poem by Edgar Allan Poe which he wrote for his friend and celebrated United States Army Chorus bass and enlisted conductor, MSG Kerry Wilkerson; Fragrance, with lyrics by Mark Riddles; and Requiescat: A “Wilde Stride” for Soprano and Piano, a classical-blues crossover set to a poem by Oscar Wilde.

2018 promises to be an exciting year as Dehlinger begins writing a brand-new choral work. Entitled Kohelet, it is an adaptation of the Book of Ecclesiastes in three movements to be sung in Hebrew. It is intended to be a companion piece to Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms...
